YouTube, bleeped.
Bleepster reads the captions, spots profanity in any language with AI, and mutes it with word-level precision — a clean silence or a classic bleep, before it ever reaches your speakers.
Free for your first 10 videos. Bring your own AI key — nothing else to buy.

Three steps between a swear and your speakers.
No dictionaries. No word lists. Just YouTube's own captions and the AI model you already trust.
- 01
It reads the captions
Bleepster captures YouTube's own subtitle track with word-level timing, straight from the player. The audio itself never leaves the tab.
- 02
AI reads between the lines
Your chosen model reviews the transcript in context — slang, transliteration, disguised spellings, mixed languages. The AI decides, not a word list.
- 03
The word disappears
Muting is scheduled on the audio clock with sample accuracy. Just the word — not the sentence. A clean silence or a classic bleep, your call.
Everything it takes to bleep one word.
Muting a single word in a live video, in any language, is harder than it sounds. Bleepster sweats the details so you don't have to.
Any language. Really.
There’s no built-in dictionary to outgrow. The AI reads captions in context — slang, transliteration, disguised spellings, even mid-sentence language switching. If YouTube can caption it, Bleepster can bleep it.
Surgical timing
Word-level timestamps from the player, mutes scheduled on the Web Audio clock — sample-accurate and immune to background-tab throttling. The word disappears. The sentence survives.
Parent PIN
A 4-digit lock keeps kids out of the settings. Stored as a salted hash on your device — never synced anywhere.
Safe start
New videos hold for a moment while the opening is analyzed, so the first word is as safe as the last. Capped at 10 seconds, always skippable.
Bring your own AI
OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, or Alibaba Qwen — your key, your model, your data relationship. Switch anytime; keys stay in your browser.
Bleep or silence
A classic censor bleep or a clean mute. Whatever fits your living room.
Rewatch free forever
Every analyzed video is cached on your device. Rewatches don't touch your free-video count and don't cost another AI cent.
No fake safety
If a video can't be filtered — no captions, limit reached — Bleepster says so right on the toolbar icon. It never pretends you're protected.
For parents who can’t preview every video.
Gaming videos, reaction channels, vlogs — a kid’s YouTube diet is full of casual profanity that age ratings never catch. You can’t pre-watch it all. You shouldn’t have to.
They keep their channels
Bleepster doesn't block videos or creators. It removes the swearing from the soundtrack and leaves everything else alone.
You keep control
The Parent PIN puts the on/off switch and every setting behind four digits only you know.
No silent failures
The moment a video can't be filtered, the toolbar icon shows an orange badge and the popup says so — in plain words, not fine print.
Bleepster mutes profanity and obscenity only — ordinary insults and mild language stay. It’s a bleeper, not a censorship board.

Questions, answered.
When can I install it?
Bleepster is in final testing and lands on the Chrome Web Store soon. Join the waitlist and we'll send exactly one email when it's live.
Which languages does it support?
Any language YouTube can caption. There's no fixed dictionary — the AI reads captions in context, including slang, transliteration, and disguised spellings. Accuracy is strongest on widely spoken languages; English and Russian are tested most heavily.
Why do I need my own AI API key?
AI is the only classifier in Bleepster — there's no word list behind it. You connect your own key from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Alibaba, so you control the model, the spend, and the data relationship. The popup walks you through setup in about two minutes.
How much does the AI usage cost?
You pay your provider directly — typically a fraction of a cent to a few cents per analyzed video, depending on the model and video length. Each video is analyzed once; rewatches use the local cache and cost nothing.
Does Bleepster listen to or upload my audio?
No. Audio is never downloaded or uploaded. Bleepster works from YouTube's caption text, which is sent only to your chosen AI provider's official API. Your keys stay in your browser profile.
What if a video has no captions?
No captions means no text to analyze, so that video can't be filtered. Bleepster tells you clearly — an orange badge on the icon and a plain-words status in the popup — instead of pretending you're covered.
Can my kid just turn it off?
The Parent PIN locks the popup — the on/off switch and every setting sits behind four digits only you know. Removing the extension itself is a browser-level action; for a truly locked-down setup, Chrome's managed force-install policy closes that door too.
What exactly gets muted?
Profanity and obscenity — the words a broadcaster would bleep. Ordinary insults and mild language stay, and non-speech captions like [music] or [laughter] are never touched.
Does the free plan expire?
No. Free gives you 10 analyzed videos with every feature included, tied to your account rather than your device — reinstalling doesn't reset it, and already-analyzed videos keep filtering forever.
The internet swears. Your speakers don’t have to.
Be first in line when Bleepster hits the Chrome Web Store.
