What Bleepster is
Bleepster is a Chrome extension that mutes profanity in YouTube videos. This policy covers the extension and the bleepster.app website.
What we store on our servers
- Your account email address (passwordless sign-in).
- The IDs of YouTube videos you've analyzed — used only to enforce the free-video limit.
- Your subscription status once billing launches (handled by Paddle as merchant of record).
- If you join the waitlist on this site: your email address, used for a single launch announcement.
What we never collect
- Your audio — it is never downloaded, recorded, or uploaded.
- Your watch history beyond the analyzed-video IDs above.
- Your AI API keys — they are stored in your browser profile only and are sent exclusively to your chosen provider's official API endpoint.
- Your Parent PIN — stored on your device as a salted hash, never transmitted.
Where caption text goes
To analyze a video, Bleepster sends its caption text to the AI provider you selected (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or Alibaba), using your own API key, over their official APIs. Their processing of that text is governed by their terms and privacy policies.
