How Bleepster Counts Free Videos
The Free plan includes 10 videos. A video counts after one minute of analyzed playback; rewatches and Shorts don't. See exactly what uses one up.

Bleepster's Free plan includes 10videos per account. A video counts only after one minute of playback that Bleepster has already analyzed. Opening a video, skimming it, rewatching a video that already counted, and watching Shorts don't use one up. The 10videos don't reset.
When does a video count as one of your free videos?
Bleepster measures watch time per video. The video counts once you have watched a full minute of it while Bleepster was protecting that part. Only time that meets all of these conditions adds up:
- The video is playing, not paused or finished.
- Bleepster has already analyzed the part that is playing.
- Your account can still analyze new videos.
That way a slow or failed analysis can't spend a free video before Bleepster had a chance to mute anything.
What doesn't use up a free video?
- Opening a video and leaving within the first minute.
- Time spent paused, including a Safe start pause.
- Videos with no captions, live streams, and other videos Bleepster can't protect.
- Rewatching a video that already counted. It stays filtered.
- YouTube Shorts. They never spend a free video, though free accounts have a daily cap on analysis requests for videos that haven't counted.
How do you see how many free videos are left?
Open the Bleepster popup, go to Settings, and look at the Subscription row. On the Free plan it reads "Free · N of 10videos left". Free videos are tied to your account, so Bleepster asks you to sign in before analyzing new videos.
What happens when the free videos run out?
New videos are no longer filtered. Bleepster tells you in three places: the popup status reads "Free limit reached", an orange badge appears on the toolbar icon, and an overlay on the video says you're not protected from profanity, with options to upgrade or continue without filtering.
Videos that already counted keep working. Premium removes the limit for $4.99 a month or $19.99 once for lifetime access. See pricing for details.
Frequently asked questions
Do free videos reset every month?
No. The Free plan is 10 videos per account in total.
Does skipping ahead in a video count toward the minute?
No. Jumping to a later point doesn't add watch time. Only actual playback of analyzed parts counts.
Do free videos carry over to another computer?
They belong to your account, so the count is the same wherever you sign in.
